Boil water advisory in effect for certain areas
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) —
As of 11 a.m. Saturday, the Georgetown County Water and Sewer District has switched the water back on to Huntington Beach State Park, Litchfield and the beachfronts of Prince George and DeBordieu.
Water will be restored to the Town of Pawleys Island after the next high tide, provided there isn't any damage to the water system.
A boil water advisory is in effect for the areas that lost service during Hurricane turned Tropical Storm Florence.
The District will be testing the water to ensure that it is safe for the public. The testing takes two days to complete.
