Another arctic blast is on the way!
Conway, S.C. (WPDE) —
After more than four days with temperatures climbing no higher than the 40s, the area finally made it into the mid-50s Monday afternoon. It'll get even warmer Tuesday with temperatures approaching 60° on a stiff west wind that will gust at times up near 20-25 mph.
But don't get used to these temperatures!
Another blast of arctic air will arrive Tuesday night. Actual temperatures will fall into the upper 20s and low 30s. And this time around the wind will be stronger. Gusty winds between 10-20 mph will drop wind chills (how it actually feels) into the upper teens and lower 20s Wednesday morning.
Despite a full day of sunshine, temperatures will only reach the low to mid-40s Wednesday afternoon.
The area will have another cold night Wednesday night, and then temperatures will begin to recover. Expect highs in the upper 50s Thursday and near 60 by Friday. Over the weekend, temperatures will likely reach the low to mid-60s with no rain.
