7am 11-17-17: Monitoring an area of low pressure in the Caribbean
The National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area of low pressure in the central Caribbean Sea. There are showers and storms associated with this disturbance, however they are disorganized.
High wind shear should limit any formation over the next few days as it moves northward. Regardless, this system will batter parts of Colombia, Hispaniola, and Puerto Rico with heavy rain this weekend.
We will continue to watch the tropics over the coming weeks. The 2017 Hurricane Season lasts until November 30th.
