Michael Owen

Michael Owen joined the ABC15 news team in January of 2023. He was most recently teaching broadcast journalism at a high school in San Diego. Prior to that he worked in multiple newsrooms in Southern California as a producer and assignment editor. He has more than a decade of experience working or teaching broadcasting.

Michael is the evening reporter and weekday anchor for ABC15 News.

This San Diego native moved here with his wife and two children, after falling in love with Myrtle Beach on vacation.

Michael loves to cook and has actually been to culinary school. He enjoys spending time with his family and working out with his F3 buddies. He believes one of the keys to life is serving your community.
