Liz Cooper is a reporter for ABC 15 News. She joined the team in June 2014.
She studied broadcast journalism at Stony Brook University on Long Island and graduated in May 2009. After graduating college, she traveled to San Diego California and interned at KFMB CBS and took classes at San Diego City College.
During school, she quickly found that she lived for telling people's stories. She's honored to be the voice for the public and tell stories that matter most to them.
She started as a reporter in September 2011 at K2TV in Casper Wyoming. Along with reporting, she was able to produce and anchor K2TV's weekend shows. While in Wyoming, she covered the 15,000 acre Sheep Herder Hill fire on Casper Mountain in 2012 and discovered she would go to the limit to get the story for the public. She also covered a murder trial from the day the shooting occurred, until the jury read the verdict in the case almost a year later. Her passion is crime and court reporting.
Liz has been away from the east coast since she graduated college and is happy to finally be back in the same time zone as friends and family. When she's not reporting, she's loves spending time with her fianc Jake and her two dogs, Yuengling and Wall-E. She's happy to live at the beach again and the warm South Carolina weather is a huge perk, especially moving from Wyoming. You can also find her pretty much anywhere outdoors with her two pups.
