Cecil Chandler has been in broadcasting since 1968.

He started in radio at WDAR in Darlington also worked WOLS radio in Florence, WCOS Columbia and 94.9 The Surf in North Myrtle Beach.

Cecil started in TV news as a reporter in 1972 with WBTW TV 13 and later became news director.

After 37 years at WBTW he made his move to WPDE TV 15 where he now does the noon show "Carolina and Company Live".

During his 43 years in television he has won numberious awards including the prestigious Masters Award from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association in 2008. He was also presented the Order of the Palmetto from his long time friend Governor David Beasley in 1998.

Cecil loves working in television and says he has no plans to retire.
