COLUMBIA, S.C. - Former Latta star and current South Carolina Gamecock Donell Stanley announced he will return for the 2019 season via Twitter on Tuesday.
This is huge news for the Gamecocks offensive line who will lose senior starters Dennis Daley and Zach Bailey.
Stanley is a versatile player who gives USC options in the trenches playing at both center and guard. He has started 25 games for the Gamecocks, splitting his time between both positions.
The pride of Dillon County began his career at South Carolina in 2014 as a redshirt and was given a medical redshirt after sustaining an injury one game in to the 2016 season, which allows him a sixth year of eligibility.
South Carolina still awaits the decision of former Conway star Bryan Edwards.
