Pelicans drop 7-2 decision at Winston-Salem

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans fell to the Winston-Salem Dash 7-2 on Sunday night at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Zack Collins hit a three-run homer in the third inning for the Dash.

Andrew Ely hit a solo homer, and David Bote drove in a run to account for the Myrtle Beach runs.

The Pelicans (48-46) won the opening game of the series on Saturday with a 12-10 win in twelve innings.

Game three of the series is scheduled for Monday night at 7 p.m. in Winston-Salem.

The Pelicans second half record is 12-12. They are now one-half game out of first place in the Southern Division of the Carolina League behind the Salem Red Sox.
