Alex and Austin Spence are key players on the Clemson Tigers special teams units.

Alex is the Tigers place kicker and Austin is the team's long snapper on punts.

The two played high school football at West Florence.

Austin, a redshirt sophomore, has the unsung duties of long snapping. He has been perfect throughout his young career in getting the ball safely into the punter's hands.

Alex, a redshirt junior, took over the starting kicker role when Greg Huegel went down with a season ending injury.

Alex is Clemson's third leading scorer. He has booted seven field goals and made 41 extra points for a total of 62 points this season.

On 53 kickoffs this season, Alex has 14 touchbacks.
