The Pee Dee Academy Eagles are coming off a winning season after finishing 4-1 in SCISA Class A Region I and making a trip to the state playoffs.

The 2017 Eagles have seven starters back on offense, and six return on defense under head coach Jonathan King.

Experienced quarterback Jake Lane returns after throwing for more than 18-hundred yards and 20 TD's last season.

He has some talented weapons coming back including McKinley Smith who caught 13 scoring passes one year ago, and receiving leader Frank Drew back in the fold.

Top rusher Jesse Lane returns to the Pee Dee Academy backfield with plenty of muscle up front to block for him.

Pee Dee Academy should score plenty of points. It will likely be up to the defense to help them win enough games for a return trip to the post season.

Pee Dee Academy opens their 2017 schedule at home on Friday, August 26 against Calhoun Academy.
