North Carolina wins Shrine Bowl 55-24 over South Carolina

The North Carolina All-Stars defeated the South Carolina All-Stars 55-24 in the 81st Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas at Wofford College in Spartanburg.

Ricky Person from Heritage High scored three times to lead North Carolina to victory.

Person rushed for 180 yards on 15 carries.

For South Carolina, Dillon High's Tyquan Porter was tied for team high with nine tackles.

Zion Keith from Wilson High had six tackles, Zareon Hayes had five tackles, and Tyler Gore from North Myrtle Beach had two tackles for the SC stars.

It is the third straight time North Carolina has earned high school football bragging rights over South Carolina.

South Carolina leads the all-time series 44-33 over North Carolina.
