Georgia State leads wire-to-wire in win at Coastal Carolina

Georgia State's Glenn Smith returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown against Coastal Carolina in a 27-21 win at Brooks Stadium in Conway on Saturday night.

Connor Manning threw one TD pass, and Demarcus Kirk and Kyler Neal each ran for scores during the Panthers win.

Former Myrtle Beach High quarterback Tyler Keane threw three TD passes for Coastal.

The Chanticleers rallied for 14 fourth quarter points but fell short.

CCU now has an overall record of 1-4, and 0-2 in the Sun Belt Conference.

Next up for the Chanticleers, a trip to Arkansas State next Saturday, October 14.
