Former CCU World Series stars Remillard and Morrison reunited in Minor Leagues

A pair of former Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are playing on the same team in the minor leagues this season.

Third baseman Zach Remillard and relief pitcher Mike Morrison are best known for their college baseball days, helping Coastal Carolina win the 2016 College World Series.

Now, the two are playing for pay with the Winston-Salem Dash.

Remillard was a 10th round pick by the Chicago White Sox in 2016.

Morrison was selected in the 27th round by the White Sox.

Remillard has played in a total of 187 games in the minors, and hit 12 homers with 70 RBI. This season with the Winston-Salem Dash, he is hitting .235.

Morrison has recorded 12 saves in his minor league career. This season, he has a 2-0 record and has not allowed a run over five innings out of the bullpen.
