Coastal Carolina falls to Syracuse at Carolinas Challenge

The Syracuse Orange beat Coastal Carolina 69-59 at the Carolinas Challenge women's basketball tournament at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Gabrielle Cooper led Syracuse with 24 points.

Jas Adams had a team-high 18 tallies for CCU.

The final game in the Carolinas Challenge will be on Tuesday, Dec. 19 between North Carolina and Grambling State at 1:30 p.m. If the Tar Heels win, it would be head coach Sylvia Hatchell's 1,000th career victory. Hatchell is a former head coach at Francis Marion University.

North Carolina beat Washington 90-78 in their first game at the Carolinas Challenge.
