The Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Clemson Tigers 24-6 at the Superdome in New Orleans in a College Football Playoff semifinal game.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said, "You gotta make the critical plays, and we didn't do that."

Clemson receiver Hunter Renfrow said Clemson's lack of making offensive plays and two interceptions doomed the Tigers, "We had some turnovers and it kind of piled up."

The defending national champion Tigers have been eliminated from the playoffs.

There will be a new champion of college football following the outcome between Alabama and Georgia on Jan. 8 in Atlanta.
