Arkansas State air show too much for Coastal Carolina

The Arkansas State Red Wolves beat the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 51-17 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Midway through the first quarter, Justice Hansen threw a 12 yard TD pass to Chris Murray to put the Red Wolves in front.

Coastal answered in the second quarter. Dalton Demos capped a nine-play 84 yard drive with a one yard touchdown run to tie the game.

Arkansas State took over from there. Hansen threw a 10-yard TD pass to Blake Mack to give the Red Wolves the lead for good.

Hansen threw five touchdown passes. He completed 24-of-37 passes for 286 yards.

Coastal Carolina has lost five straight football games for the first time in school history.

CCU running back Osharmar Abercrombie finished with ten carries for 102 yards.

CCU is now 1-5 overall, 0-3 in the Sun Belt Conference.
