The Conway Tigers boys basketball team has an 18-2 record and are ranked number two in the state of South Carolina in Class AAAAA under head coach Michael Hopkins.

Reigning ABC 15 Mister Hoop Zone winner Jimmy Nichols leads the Tigers averaging 19 points and more than nine rebounds a game. He is also an amazing shot blocker with more than three per game.

Conway has six seniors on their roster. Juwan Moody and D'Waun Grainger provide leadership in the backcourt with their high level defense and ability to make shots.

Along with Nichols, Alabama football recruit Jaylen Moody is a force in the paint with his strength and wide body.

With three games to play, Conway is in a virtual tie for first place with Sumter in Region VI.

If Conway and Sumter end the regular season in a tie for first, a one game playoff at a neutral site will determine the top seed out of the region.
