The Zoneman makes his college choice

2011 WPDE Zoneman winner Jabo Lee committed to play college football at East Carolina. The Dillon running back becomes the third rising senior from Jackie Hayes team to commit early to play Division I football. Offensive linemen DJ Park and Bryce King have committed to play for Steve Spurrier and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Lee became the first ever Dillon Wildcat to win WPDE's Zoneman Trophy, given to the outstanding high school football player in the Myrtle Beach/Florence area. His junior year saw stellar numbers on the ground rushing for 1,642 yards and 26 scores averaging over 11 yards per carry. In 2010, he racked up 1540 yards and 20 TD's on 184 carries.

Lee had offers from Virginia Tech and Tennessee and had serious interest from South Carolina and Clemson. Jabo told WPDE Sports in December that East Carolina envisioned him in the mold of former ECU star and current Tennessee Titan Chris Johnson.
