See you in Texas: Clemson to play Notre Dame in Cotton Bowl
Myrtle Beach, S.C. - For the fourth straight year the Clemson Tigers are headed to the College Football Playoff.
The Tigers (13-0) also claimed their fourth straight ACC title Saturday in Charlotte in a 42-10 win over Pitt.
Just as they have been all season long, the committee kept Clemson at No. 2 and Notre Dame (12-0) at No. 3. The two teams will meet in the Cotton Bowl Dec. 29th in Arlington, TX.
The playoff committee kept Alabama (13-0) at the top of the standings after narrowly escaping Georgia Saturday in the SEC championship. Essentially there were three teams vying for the number four spot in Georgia (11-2), Oklahoma (12-1) and Ohio St. (12-1). The committee going with Big 12 champion Oklahoma at No. 4. UGA and Ohio St. at 5 and 6 respectively.
