Whip Up Your Weekend: Playoff BBQ Pockets


Sunday is game day. You can enjoy the football game while snacking on some BBQ pockets.


  • 4 slices of Whole wheat Bread
  • 1 egg whisked
  • 1 cup cooked BBQ pork
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheese
  • 2 Tb (or more) BBQ Sauce


  • Lightly brush egg onto one side of all slices of bread.
  • In a bowl mix BBQ sauce, Cheese, and cooked BBQ pork to make the filling.
  • Place the mixed filling on bread and place the top bread on and press the two around the filling to seal the pocket.
  • Place in sandwich press and griddle for 4 minutes till crispy.
  • Serve with scallions, BBQ Sauce and more cheese if desired.
