Whip Up Your Weekend: Lace cookies, (Sydney Glenn/WPDE)

Sunday is National Lace Cookie Day, so Chef Geoff shares a sorghum lace cookie recipe with us.


  • 1/3 cupAP Flour
  • 1/3 cupMelted Butter
  • 1/2 tspVanilla
  • 1 cup Quick Oats
  • 1/8 cupSorghum Syrup
  • 1/8 cupMilk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt


  • Mix all ingredients and spoon a teaspoon onto parchment covered cookie sheets.
  • Spread thin and make sure they are 2-3 inches apart. Bake 370? 6-8 minutes.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Spread a thin layer of melted chocolate on one side of half the cookies and sandwich the lace cookies together.
  • Store in a air tight tin.
