Whip Up Your Weekend: Chocolate Ganache

Whip Up Your Weekend: Chocolate Ganache, (Sydney Glenn/WPDE)

The holiday season is here, and for many people that means it's also baking season.

Chocolate Ganache is an easy and versatile recipe.

  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1 lb. bitter sweet chocolate, chopped
  • Notes: 1:1 ratio means 1 pint of liquid (cream) and 1 lb. of chocolate = one lb.

  • Put the chopped chocolate into a large metal bowl.
  • Put the cream into a pan and bring to a boil. Remove pan from heat and pour the heated cream directly over the chocolate.
  • Allow the mixture to sit for a few minutes until the chocolate has time to begin to melt.
  • Begin stirring the chocolate mixture with a spatula until all of the ingredients are incorporated well and all of the chocolate has melted.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow container and allow to thoroughly cool.
