One person has been arrested by Horry County Police after a shooting around 9:30 p.m. Friday near Conway.

David Jermaine Williams, 38, died from gunshot wounds after a shooting on Tidway Circle, according to Deputy Coroner Tony Hendricks.

Williams was shot multiple times in the upper body and died at Conway Medical Center, Hendricks added.

Shakeel Aaron Coleman, 21, is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center, charged with Williams' murder.

Detectives learned Coleman went to the home after learning that his mother and Williams were having a dispute over property.

Coleman came into the home armed with a handgun and shot Williams, according to police.

Williams was living in Conway but also has ties to Longs and Fayetteville, NC, Hendricks said.
