McSpadden said Celentano was originally from New Jersey, but had been living in Horry County for more than a year.

The cause of death was a gunshot wound.

McSpadden said Celentano's wife described him as "a husband, father, step-father, brother, and a good friend to a great many people."

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, which has been linked to three other confirmed armed robberies, two in other areas of Horry County and one in Chadbourn, North Carolina.
