GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Friends of Charles "Nick" Wall and Laura Ashley Anderson are mourning after the two were shot and killed following a traffic incident on Monday, Aug. 24 in Georgetown County at the intersection of Indian Hut Road and Highmarket Street.
Wall, 45, was a step-father to 21-year-old Anderson.
Lynn Lambert, a close friend of the family, called their deaths "senseless."
" I don't understand how a simple fender bender they called it could turn into double murder and an attempted to murder," Lambert said. "Why? I honestly didn't think it was real. Who does this?"

She said Anderson was just beginning to realize her dreams.
"She was so sweet, always smiling, would do anything for anybody," she said.
She said Anderson had just bought her own home and was beginning her new adult life when this happened.
She said Wall was a devoted step-father who was always by her side and Monday was no different.
"This all happened because they were selling bunk-beds online and somebody came over to purchase them and she didn't have her keys, and Nick came to bring the keys," Lambert said.
Lambert said Wall had just turned into Anderson's driveway to hand her the keys when he was rear-ended.
Following the traffic collision, police say Ty Sheem Ha Sheem Walter III shot Wall, Anderson, and another person, who is reportedly in critical condition.
"It actually happened in her yard, waiting for the keys to get to her," Lambert said.

Lambert said Anderson's new home at the intersection of Highmarket Street and Indian Hut Road was supposed to be the beginning of her new life.
"She wanted to be a teacher like her momma. She was getting ready to start school. She was getting everything in order. Everything was starting to fall in place for her," she said.
But instead, that's where her life ended.
"She won't get to get to get married, she won't get to have children," she said.
Police say the location of the crime was right off Hwy. 521 -- a road Kimberly Wall, a mourning mother, and widow, travels daily.
"She will, she'll have to pass it every single day," Lambert said.

Scott Scogin, a longtime friend of Wall, said his friend's death is "hard to imagine." He said he has kids around Anderson's age, and he's holding them a little tighter these days.
"I've held my kids for the last two days and told them tomorrow's not promised," Scogin said.
A bond hearing is scheduled for Ty Sheem Ha Sheem Walter III on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 9 a.m.
Walters is charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
