Two now dead after wreck in Robeson County
Robeson County, N.C. (WPDE) —
Two people have died in a wreck Tuesday afternoon on Highway 711 near Lowe Road between Pembroke and Lumberton, according to N.C. Highway Patrol.
One of those people died at the scene and the other died Wednesday at the hospital. Both were from Kentucky, according to troopers.
The crash happened when a car was towing a truck and it ran off the road, hitting several mailboxes. Troopers say the trailer then jack-knifed and hit a tree, ultimately killing two people.
Chief Ashley Blackburn with the Raft Swamp Fire Station said two other people were taken by EMS to the hospital.
