CONCORD, Cabarrus County — A North Carolina toddler was hit and killed by a driver who left the scene.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol Troopers said the young child ran into the eastbound lanes of NC Highway 73 at Fitzgerald Street Northwest in Concord Friday night and was hit by an unknown driver.
After hitting the 2-year-old, Charlotte ABC affiliate WSOC is reporting troopers said the person left the crash. Investigators said the suspect was believed to be driving a black or dark four-door sedan that may have signs of damage.
