Stars, stripes, and everything nice: Here's where you can see fireworks on the 4th

In honor of Independence Day, cities across the Grand Strand, Pee Dee and Border Belt will be hosting dazzling displays of fireworks and entertainment.

Here's where you can go to see the shows and enjoy some old-fashioned fireworks fun:

  • Barefoot Landing -- Fireworks start at 10 p.m.
  • Broadway at the Beach -- Fireworks start at 10 p.m.
  • Cherry Grove Pier -- Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
  • Georgetown -- Morgan Park -- Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
  • Laurinburg -- Scotland High School -- Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.
  • Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Bonanza -- Fireworks start at 10 p.m. Come early to enjoy live entertainment, trivia, food challenges, karaoke, food trucks, and kids activities.
  • Murrells Inlet Marshwalk -- Fireworks start at 10 p.m.

Independence Day 5K

Head out to Market Common for a run in the park. The race begins at 7:30 a.m.

American Pride March

Join a group of more than 60 volunteers with flags representing the USA and POW/MIA individuals as they march 8 miles of North Myrtle Beach. The march will step off at 60th Avenue North, as well as in the south near Ocean Creek Resort.

Salute from the Shore

Turn your eyes to the sky at 1:03 p.m. in Myrtle Beach to see a group of vintage F-16s from McEntire Joint National Guard Base. Click here for their flight path along the coast!

Murrells Inlet Boat Parade

Head to Garden City Point at 12 p.m. to see the start of the boat parade as it goes through the inlet, past the Marshwalk, and south the Morse Park Landing.

Croissants Cupcake-Eating Contest

If food contests are your thing, "have your cake and eat it too: at the Croissants Bistro & Bakery Grande Dunes location at 8014 N. Kings Highway. Watch as the best eaters in the area face off in a cupcake challenge from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Garden City Golf Cart Parade

Show your support for our nation in the Garden City Golf Cart Parade. Line up will begin at 1 p.m. at Willard's Fireworks in Murrells Inlet. The parade will set off at 2 p.m.

Pawleys Island Concert Series

To catch some tunes, head to Precious Blood of Christ Parish Life Center to hear the Pawleys Island Concert Band play in recognition of veterans and first responders from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
