Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WPDE) — Gunshots were reportedly fired near an Ocean Boulevard hotel Sunday night, according to Lt. Joey Crosby with Myrtle Beach police.
At around 9 p.m. officers were called to 5200 North Ocean Blvd., the address for the Dunes Village Resort, for gunshots.
Officers couldn't find anyone who had been injured and witnesses at the scene refused to talk to police, Crosby said.
"Based on the limited information collected at the scene, officers believe this incident began as a verbal altercation and then shots were fired. It is unknown if the shots were fired at someone or in the air," Crosby said.
This is the fourth report of gunshots in Myrtle Beach this weekend. There were two shootings Saturday afternoon and then a third Sunday morning.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department at 843-918-1382.
