HORRY COUTY, S.C. (WPDE) — If you hit a pothole in South Carolina and it damages your car, you may have the option to get reimbursed for damages, from the South Carolina Dept. of Transpiration.
SCDOT says from 2017 to 2018, the department paid $207,470 for damage claims.
The department says that’s the most accurate year because drivers have one year to file the claim, so the number for 2018-2019 changes daily. They say that number does not include what the state’s insurance company has paid.
