A man was robbed at gunpoint on Monday while inside his apartment, according to an Horry County police report.

The robbery was reported on Pipers Point Lane on Jan. 29, 2018.

A 41-year-old man told police he was robbed at gunpoint by two men who broke into his home.

He said they broke in, fought with him and pistol whipped him in the head, according to the report.

The man had blood on his ear and shirt, according to the report, and the living room was "in disarray with broken items scattered throughout and couch cushions throw everywhere."

He told police he was coming out of the bathroom when he heard a knock on the door and it was then forced open and two men "came bursting inside the room."

One of the men stood about 5'10" tall and was wearing red sweatpants with a camo jacket. That man was holding a .45 caliber handgun and pointed it at the victim's face, the report stated.

The victim told police he pushed the gun out of his face and that's when he was pistol whipped.

The men told the victim to get on the ground and lay there while they went through his pockets and searched his home.

The two men made off with $1,800 in cash and the man's ID.
