Report: Man pistol-whipped during armed robbery at Conway apartment complex

A Manning man was reportedly pistol-whipped during an armed robbery on Friday at the University Suites apartment complex off Technology Boulevard, according to a Conway police report.

Police went to the apartment Friday at around 5:30 p.m. and one of the victims, a 22-year-old Conway man, said three men came into his apartment and demanded "that they give them their stuff," the report said.

The report also said another victim, a Manning man whose age is listed in the report as being between 20 and 30, was hit in the face by an object that is believed to have been a firearm.

Two other men, another 22-year-old Conway man and a 26-year-old man, were also victims, according to the report.

The day of the robbery, a Coastal Carolina University officer at the scene told us that three people were in custody.

No suspect information is listed on the report.
