N.C. state police investigating officer involved shooting in Laurinburg


The N.C. State Bureau of Investigations is investigating an officer involved shooting that happened just before 3:00 a.m. Saturday in a parking lot at the intersection of Lee's Mill Road and Produce Market Road in Laurinburg, according to Laurinburg Police Chief Darwin Williams.

Williams said at this time he's not able to release any more information as the investigation is ongoing.

Several people on scene told us there were two separate shootings in that area.

They said some people were hurt and airlifted to a hospital.

We've reached out to the State Bureau of Investigation to learn more.

Laurinburg police, Scotland Rescue, Scotland County EMS and Laurinburg fire all responded to the incident.
