MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) - One person is dead after falling from a balcony at the Patricia Grand Resort in Myrtle Beach Wednesday night, according to Myrtle Beach police.

Multiple police cars could be seen at the Patricia Grand Resort. That hotel is located at 2710 North Ocean Boulevard.

The Myrtle Beach Police Public Information Officer said, "preliminary investigation leads us to believe that this was not done at the hands of another right now."

No foul play is suspected.

Around 7 p.m. our reporter said there appeared to be a body on the ground.

Our reporter said officers were on the tenth floor investigating near the balcony.

Earlier witness reports said there had been a shooting, but police said that is not the case.

In the summer of 2017, two similar incidences happened on Ocean Boulevard. Two teenage girls died at the Camelot Hotel after falling from the top floor. Just a week later, a man jumped from a balcony at that same hotel.
