Tabor City man dies after crashing into bridge railing near Longs


One person is dead after a single vehicle wreck near Longs Tuesday night.

The driver of a 2000 Mercury, Harrelson Long, was headed south on Pond Road around 8 p.m. when he ran of the right side of the road and struck a bridge railing, according to the Highway Patrol and the coroner's office.

Long was 60 and from Tabor City, according to Deputy Horry County Coroner Michelle McSpadden.

He was not wearing a seat belt and died as a result of his injuries.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
