Nominations announced for Carolina Country Music Awards

(CCMAs Facebook page)

The nominations for all 20 categories in the 2019 Carolina Country Music Awards have been announced, according to a release.

The upcoming event will be held at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019.

The annual event is open to performers who grew up in or currently reside in North Carolina or South Carolina.

The "Entertainer of the Year" category winner will be determined by listeners of Carolina Country 93.9 WMIR in Myrtle Beach and Carolina Country 100.1 WFAY in Fayetteville, N.C. All other category winners will be selected by a panel of judges from the music and broadcasting industry.

Carolina Country DJ Sweet Tea serves as the shows executive producer. She said, “I think there are a lot of great artists who aren’t typically heard on the radio. The CCMAs give those musicians an opportunity to be recognized for their hard work.”

She also says that country music fans aren’t neglected because the show is also a way for fans to connect with the musicians. “It’s a big party for both the artists and the fans. Everybody gets to enjoy some great ‘Carolina roots’ music.”

All winners will be announced at the CCMAs next month.
