Horry County Police say a new lead led them to a new sketch of a person of interest in a 1980s murder.

Joann Colby was reported missing on Sept. 15, 1980. She was later found stabbed to death in the trunk of a vehicle near Conway.

Sue Collie, who is no longer living, was charged with accessory to murder in Colby's death, but the actual suspect was never apprehended.

When following up on cold cases, HCPD got a new lead. That person was able to describe the person of interest and a new sketch was issued.

The person of interest was known to use the aliases Vincent Giordano, Anthony (Tony) Giordano, and Joseph McArthur. Police say the person of interest was also known to be an associate of Collie.

The new sketch shows what Giordano would've looked like in 1980.

Anyone with information about this person is asked to contact HCPD by calling 843-915-TIPS (8477) or emailing
