Nacho Hippo robbed, employees held at gunpoint in North Myrtle Beach

On Saturday, Aug. 4, North Myrtle Beach police responded to an armed robbery at the Nacho Hippo on North Myrtle Beach Boulevard.

The police report shows the assistant manager called 911 around 11:09 p.m.

The store manager told police two men armed with handguns walked into the kitchen area and ordered employees to go into the office.

The two suspects put a gun to a person's head and ordered him to open the safe, according to the report.

Police said the men then emptied the safe and left out the back door.

Restaurant employees told police they left the back door open. They also said the suspects had their faces covered. One is described as heavier than the other.

Police reported the men stole approximately $2,500.

Officers searched the area, but did not find the two suspects.
