Myrtle Beach Police investigating shooting near Spivey Apartments (WPDE)

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a shooting that turned deadly Sunday night in the area area of Spivey Apartments, which is located at Kings St and Spivey Avenue.

Just after 7:00 pm, officers heard multiple gunshots in the area. Several officers immediately responded to the area and discovered two victims. One victim was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.

Capt. Joey Crosby said officers are now investigating the incident as a homicide, but did not say which victim died.

An incident report states that police were called to the scene and found a white car that had collided with a light pole in Futrell Park.

When walking up the vehicle, the officer said there was a person in the backseat who had a gunshot wound, according to the report.
