Man charged after police find nearly 15 pounds of marijuana in Myrtle Beach home

A Myrtle Beach man was arrested after Horry County police executed a search warrant at a home after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen, according to a news release.

Lee Marvin Dennison, of Myrtle Beach, is charged with trafficking marijuana, more than 10 pounds, according to Krystal Dotson, spokesperson for the Horry County Police Department.

An employee of a realty company who manages the property on the 2900 block of Carriage Row Lane told police he was doing a quarterly walk-thru of the property when he found multiple bags of marijuana on the floor of an empty unit, according to the police report.

When police executed the search warrant, they found 14.98 pounds of marijuana, one gun and more than $42,000, according to the police report.

Dennison arrived on scene a short time later and was taken into custody.
