Myrtle Beach fire crews put out a fire on the 9th floor at the Monterey Bay high-rise hotel, according to a tweet from the department.

People were being evacuated from the building.

Our crew on scene said smoke was showing from the building.

Fire crews utilized its drone to survey the area.

Tom Gwyer, with Myrtle Beach Fire, said the fire was near offices connected to the hotel's parking garage.
