Myrtle Beach ambulance involved in wreck near 38th Avenue North
Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WPDE) —
A Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue ambulance was involved in a wreck in Myrtle Beach about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Cpl. Thomas Vest, with Myrtle Beach police.
Lt. Jonathan Evans, with Myrtle Beach Fire, says the ambulance was T-boned at the intersection of 38th Avenue and Kings Highway.
Evans said the ambulance was taking a patient to Grand Strand Medical Center when the wreck happened. The patient was taken to the hospital by another medic unit. Two Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue employees were evaluated for minor injuries.
Myrtle Beach police will be investigating the crash.
Vest said no charges have been filed at this time.
