Officers accidentally stumbled upon and seized marijuana and cash the weekend of October 15 - 16 from a home at the corner of North Smith and West Marion Street in Mullins, according to an incident report.

The report said a man called 911 from the home saying he was being held against his will inside a closet.

Officers went to the home to check out the man's claims, but didn't find anyone inside a closet, according to the report.

Police said they stumbled upon marijuana in plain view at the home.

The report said the homeowner gave officers permission to search for drugs and they found more drugs and a large amount of cash hidden in a laundry basket.

Officers also found a gun, the report said, stashed under a mattress with an obliterated serial number on it.

The police report said four people were taken into custody, but doesn't say if they've been charged.
