Two people are now in custody after a manhunt Tuesday night near Francis Marion Road in Florence County, according to officials with the Florence County Sheriff's Office.

Cardell Devonce Woodberry, 23, and Dameyune Jaheen White, 19, both of Johnsonville, have each been charged with one count of second degree burglary, according to the FCSO.

Their arrests come after, according to a news release, deputies responded to an alarm call at a home on Antique Circle in Florence on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, a deputy saw two individuals fleeing into a wooded area.

The deputy secured the premises and the FCSO K-9 Tracking Team, FCSO Aviation Unit, and Raptor I were called in to initiate a manhunt, the release said.

That search included areas of Francis Marion Road and Red Doe Road. At times, the search area ventured close to Francis Marion University (FMU).

Two suspects were later taken into custody and have been identified as Woodberry and White.

According to arrest warrants, Woodberry and White are alleged to have entered a home without the consent of the owner and, while inside, removed property belonging to the owner.
