Man shot in Robeson County
James Elijah Beauregard,40, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
Beauregard is accused of shooting a 32-year-old man Sunday night on McLeod Road in the Red Springs area of Robeson County, according to Captain Kimothy Monroe with Red Springs police.
Monroe said the victim is in in stable condition and is expected to gain full recovery.
He added the shooting stemmed from an argument weeks ago between the two men.
Beauregard is being held in the Robeson County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
