Man found shot on Marion County road

MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A passerby found a man suffering a gunshot wound lying in the road in Marion County Friday.

A passerby called 911 Friday morning after finding a man lying in the road on Davis Lane off Miller’s Road near Mullins after being shot, according to Marion County Sheriff Brian Wallace.

Wallace said the man is being treated for his injuries at the hospital. His condition isn't being released at this time.

Sheriff Wallace added they have several investigators and deputies working the incident to learn more details as to what happened.

The investigation is ongoing.
