Man found in Black River by fishermen identified
Georgetown County, S.C. (WPDE) —
The man whose body was pulled from the Black River on Thursday has been identified.
Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson identified the victim as Cedrick Devon Lawrence, 30, of Annie Village Road in the Plantersville community, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Deputies say identification was made based on clothing, scars and dental records.
A preliminary autopsy has revealed no foul play, according to the coroner.
Lawrence was reported missing on Wednesday and fishermen in the B.A.S.S. Tournament conducted in Georgetown reported the body in the river to authorities.
