A Conway man is charged with kidnapping and criminal sexual assault after a woman reported that she was beaten and raped in an abandoned building on Martin Luther Drive in Horry County on Sunday, according to a police report.

Justin Weaver, 23, of Conway, was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center around noon on Sunday, April 15, according to online records.

His arrest comes after Horry County police were called to an Horry County fire station off Highway 701 for a reported sexual assault victim, according to a police report.

When the officer arrived, the woman was in an ambulance and her boyfriend said she had been beaten and raped, according to a police report.

The officer talked to the 42-year-old Loris woman who was inside the ambulance and she told him she was walking from a friend's house on Bucksport Road when a man pulled her into an abandoned building and started beating and hitting her, according to the police report. She told the officer the man then raped her.

She said after it happened "she left her shoes and just left headed back home," the report stated. She said she may have also left her ID in the building because the man who assaulted her went through her wallet and took everything out.

The officer went to the building on Martin Luther Drive and found the shoes, white sandals, according to the report.

Weaver's bond was set at $25,000. He is still incarcerated as of around 6 p.m. on Monday.
