
Laurinburg, N.C. (WPDE) — Paul "Bang Out" Benthall, III, has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, going armed to terror of people, discharging firearm in city limits and injury to personal property after he shot two people, according to Laurinburg Police Chief Darwin Williams.
Williams said the shooting happened just after midnight Saturday at Pitt Street and Caledonia Road in Laurinburg.A teenage boy and a man in his early 20's were injured.
Benthall was arrested Monday afternoon after he surrendered to police.
He is being held at the Scotland County Detention Center.
