Jobs could be coming to Robeson County

New jobs could be coming to Robeson company because an existing industry is planning to expand in the county.

It's referred to only as Project Freezer.

The company would invest about $2.7 million dollars and create about 50 jobs in phase one.

The jobs would average at about $10.50 an hour, plus benefits.

This is the company's second expansion and Robeson County Economic Development says it will positively impact their economy.

"The company is here because of our location and the interstate system and with their workforce and training program. So, what does it mean? It's gonna strengthen our tax base and lower our unemployment rate," Charles Cummings with Robeson Economic Development said.

We will keep you updated with this project and when that company is announced.
